& Marriages Registers of the St Marys Magdalene Anglican
Church, Magdalene Street,
St Marys, New South Wales,
Australia.
This church has been in existence from the laying of the
foundation stone on the 22nd November, 1837 by Bishop Broughton on
land given to the township of "South Creek" (as it was
known at that time) by Philip Parker King and built to a style
similar to the King Family parish church "St Mary Magdalene"
in Dunheved, England.
Over 139 years of burials, baptisms and marriages have taken
place "in the little churchyard on the hill" and
have been recorded and documented by me, Lyn Forde I have 7
generations of my family buried in the churchyard.
